Static sites sit right beside WordPress.

Add a website on Cloudflare Workers by its address, with no plugin to install. KontrolWP checks that it answers, and shows what Cloudflare has shipped.

Static sites on Cloudflare Workers.

Know when a deploy breaks.

The Deployments tab lists what Cloudflare has shipped and how each build went, so you can spot a broken deploy without opening the Cloudflare dashboard.

  • Uptime check on every sync, plus analytics, a Domain tab and accessibility checks
  • Deployment history with Workers Builds status, branch and commit
  • Open a build's log without leaving KontrolWP
  • A Pages tab lists the site's pages from its sitemap

The details

How it works, point by point.

Adding a static site

  • Enter the site's address, an optional name and, for Cloudflare sites, its Worker. KontrolWP refuses an address that does not answer
  • A static site is named after its domain, and you can rename any site
  • Nothing is installed on the site

Uptime

  • Every sync loads the home page. Any answer that is not a success, or no answer, marks the site down
  • The site's icon comes from its home page

Deployments

  • Choose whether a site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Only then does KontrolWP read Cloudflare, and the Deployments tab appears
  • You see the live deployment and past ones, with Workers Builds status, branch, commit and build log
  • Access is one read-only Cloudflare API token that you add in Settings. It is stored encrypted, and KontrolWP never writes to Cloudflare
  • The Builds API needs a token with Workers Builds Configuration access. Without it, deployments still show
  • A site hosted somewhere else never contacts Cloudflare

Pages from the sitemap

  • The Pages tab finds the sitemap from robots.txt, then tries /sitemap.xml and /sitemap_index.xml
  • Sitemap indexes are followed into up to 20 sitemaps, and .gz files are read
  • Only addresses on the site's own host are listed, up to 5,000, newest first, and you can search them
  • A sitemap has no page titles, so each row shows the page's path

Good to know

  • Updates, plugins, users, broken links, comments, posts and the Security tab are WordPress features. Static sites get uptime, analytics, domain details, accessibility checks, deployments and Pages.
  • The Deployments tab and the Cloudflare Worker setting appear only for sites you mark as hosted on Cloudflare.
