How it works, point by point.

DNS records

  • A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, CAA and SOA records at the registered domain
  • CNAME, A and AAAA at the site's own host when it differs from the registered domain
  • Records come from Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS resolver

Registration

  • Registrar, registration, last change and expiry dates, nameservers, DNSSEC and status codes
  • Found through the registry's RDAP service
  • www.example.co.uk resolves to example.co.uk

Keeping it current

  • Answers are kept for a day. Check again looks the domain up fresh

Good to know

  • Some country-code domains have no RDAP service. For those, the tab shows DNS records only, with a note.
