Know how fast every site loads.
Each site gets a Performance tab with Google PageSpeed Insights results for its home page, on mobile and desktop: four Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals from real visitors, what would save the most time, and a history of past tests.
WordPress and static sites.
Lighthouse scores without leaving the dashboard.
KontrolWP asks Google's PageSpeed Insights to test each site and keeps the results next to everything else.
- Performance, Accessibility, Best practices and SEO scores out of 100
- Mobile and desktop, one switch apart
- Core Web Vitals from real Chrome visitors, with Google's pass or fail assessment
- A test every week, or whenever you press Run test
The details
How it works, point by point.
What each test shows
- Four Lighthouse scores out of 100: Performance, Accessibility, Best practices and SEO
- Lab measurements from one simulated visit: First Contentful Paint, Largest Contentful Paint, Total Blocking Time, Cumulative Layout Shift and Speed Index
- The biggest time savings Lighthouse found, largest first
- Each site's home page is tested as a phone and as a desktop
Real visitors
- Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP and CLS) from the Chrome UX Report, over the last 28 days
- Google's pass or fail assessment, as in PageSpeed Insights
- When the page alone has too few visits, the whole site's numbers are shown, and the tab says so
- Small sites may have no real visitor data yet; the lab test still runs
History and the Overview
- The scores of the last 90 tests per device are kept, with a trend line and a table of recent tests
- The site's Overview shows its mobile and desktop performance score at a glance
- A failed test keeps the last good result and says why it failed
Google access
- If Google is already connected for Search Console and Analytics, tests use that account. No extra key is needed; turn on the PageSpeed Insights API in the same Google Cloud project
- Or save a free Google API key in Settings, Integrations. It is stored encrypted and takes priority
- Without either, Google allows very few tests, so weekly tests only run once one is set up
- Run test works on any site at any time, and each site can switch performance checks off
