Privacy policy

KontrolWP is software you run yourself, so your data stays in your own account. This page explains that, and the small amount this website records.

This website

  • kontrolwp.com is a static site. It has no accounts, forms, comments or cookies
  • We count page views with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that Dynamic Technologies LLC runs itself at umami.bedynamic.tech. It records the page, referrer, browser, device type and country. It uses no cookies, doesn't build a profile of you, and doesn't track you across other sites
  • If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us
  • Fonts and images come from this site, not a third party
  • Cloudflare delivers the site. It processes ordinary request data, such as IP addresses, to serve pages and block abuse

The KontrolWP software

  • You deploy KontrolWP to your own Cloudflare account. Dynamic Technologies LLC doesn't host it, has no account system for it, and never receives your site list, site secrets, analytics or other data
  • Everything it handles (sites, users, comments, analytics and Search Console numbers, Cloudflare and Google connections) lives in the D1 database and Worker in your account. Secrets are encrypted there with a key only your Worker holds
  • It only sends requests to your own sites and to services you connect yourself, such as Cloudflare, Umami, Google Analytics and Search Console, plus Wordfence for vulnerability data
  • If you connect Google, the sign-in is read-only and uses an OAuth client you create. The tokens stay in your account
  • You decide who can open your dashboard through Cloudflare Access

The KontrolWP Connect plugin

  • The plugin runs on your WordPress sites and only answers requests signed with that site's own secret
  • It reports to the Worker you deployed, and nowhere else

Your choices

  • You can block analytics with your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker. The site works the same
  • To have us remove anything we hold about you, contact us using the details below. For this website, that's only the anonymous visit counts described above
  • The software runs in your account, so you control its data and can delete it directly in Cloudflare
