Manage plugins across every site at once.

The Plugins page lists every plugin across all your sites, grouped by plugin. Act on one site or on many with a single action.

For WordPress sites. Needs the KontrolWP Connect plugin.

See and change every plugin.

Each sync stores what is installed on each site, so the page opens fast and shows which sites run each plugin.

  • Activate, deactivate and delete, on one site or many
  • Install from the WordPress.org directory, a link, or an uploaded zip
  • Turn auto-updates on or off per plugin
  • A failure on one site is reported for that site and does not stop the others

The details

How it works, point by point.

Installing

  • Pick a WordPress.org plugin by its slug, paste a link to a zip, or upload a zip file of up to 10 MB
  • Choose whether to activate it after it installs
  • Install on several sites at once. The sites install it themselves through WordPress's own plugin installer

Acting on many sites

  • Activate, deactivate or delete a plugin on the sites you select. KontrolWP works through up to six sites at a time
  • Deleting a plugin deactivates it first
  • Each site is synced afterward so the page shows the result

Updates and auto-updates

  • Available plugin updates appear on the Plugins page and the Overview, and go through each site's update queue
  • Turn WordPress's own auto-updates on or off for a plugin, on one site or many
  • Sites you excluded from updates are skipped

What it will not do

  • KontrolWP Connect is listed, but it has no actions. It cannot deactivate or delete itself
  • Plugin icons come from WordPress's own update check, and a missing icon shows the plugin's first letter

Good to know

  • Needs KontrolWP Connect 0.6.0 or later for plugin management, and 0.7.0 or later for auto-updates.
  • Sites that block file changes cannot install, update or delete plugins from KontrolWP.
